  1. Strong to Gale Force south-westerly winds (62 to 74km/h) are expected between Plettenberg Bay and Port Alfred, spreading to Mazeppa Bay in the afternoon.

Gauteng:

Temperature: Fine and warm.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Very High.

Mpumalanga:

Temperature: Fine and warm, becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon with isolated thundershowers in the east.

Limpopo:

Temperature: Extremely hot in parts of the lowveld, otherwise fine and hot, but very hot in the east. It will become partly cloudy in the afternoon.

North-West Province:

Temperature: Fine and warm.

Free State:

Temperature: Partly cloady in the south-west at first, otherwise fine and cool.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index:

Northern Cape:

Temperature: Partly cloudy to cloudy and cold with early morning rain in the extreme west. It will be cool in the east.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate southerly to south-westerly.

Western Cape:

Temperature: Cloudy and cold with rain over the west and central parts spreading to the eastern parts of the south coast in the evening.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong north-westerly to westerly east of Cape Agulhas, otherwise moderate to fresh south-westerly to southerly reaching strong south of Betty’s Bay, moderating north of Cape Point in the evening.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Moderate.

Eastern Cape:

The Western halfTemperature: Cloudy with isolated showers and rain for the southern regions, otherwise partly cloudy and cool.

The Western Half – Wind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong south-westerly.

The Eastern halfTemperature: Cloudy with isolated showers and rain in places south of escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and cool.

The Eastern halfWind: The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong south-westerly.

Kwazulu-Natal:

Temperature: Fine in the west and north at first, otherwise partly cloudy to cloudy and cool but warm in places in the north. Isolated showers and thundershowers are expected but scattered in the east.

Wind: The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh southerly to south-westerly becoming moderate south-easterly in the north by evening.

The expected UVB Sunburn Index: Low.
