The Caretaker Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, met with Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, the party’s candidate in Saturday’s Edo Governorship election in Abuja on Wednesday.
It was gathered that Buni alongside Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state met with Ize-Iyamu at his private residence to review the party’s loss in the election and to discuss the way forward for the party in Edo.
This news medium also learned that the two chieftains persuaded Ize-Iyamu to accept the outcome of the election. The APC chairman also discussed the way forward for Ize-Iyamu after the election.
POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the meeting is the first outing of Ize-Iyamu after the governorship election loss to the incumbent governor, Godwin Obaseki of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
